Actually, I no longer run MKLinux (I currently run LinuxPPC) but when I first installed LinuxPPC I forgot to mark the "format" buttons on the live installer, hence the MKLinux file system remained completely intact.

When it booted (BootX) it booted off of the LinuxPPC Kernel in my kernels folder, and my MKLinux file system was intact in usable.

In fact it kind of surprised me- as I though LinuxPPC was suppose to default boot into run level 5, and that wasn't the case. Then, when I typed "startx" after logging on, KDE came up with all my defaults- it was actually quite funny, 'cause a few things did look different (such as run level 3 saying Linux PPC 199 2.2.6 kernel yada yada)

The only thing I can think of as to why you couldn't use both is possible some things are broken under the LinuxPPC Kernel. I don't know, tho, it seemed stable enough to me. Then I re-installed the right way.

I'm tempted to give MKLinux another run when the official release is out- but I'll probably stick with LinuxPPC for most stuff, its a bit faster.
