Problem booting

So, I'm having a problem getting Mklinux to boot.
Partitions and system information follows this discussion.

I've installed The Mac OS side files:
Mklinux Booter and Mach Kernel in the extensions folder.
Mklinux control panel in the control panels folder.
lilo.conf and Mklinux.prefs in the Preferences folder.

On reboot after the Mklinux splash screen I had a black screen
with white letters appear with the following information:

Mach 3.0 Version (PMK1.1): gilbert ; Wed June 10 17:45:07 PDT199; Mach_kernel/PRODUCTION (VENUS.APPLE.COM)
PCI class machine.
mem_size = 288 M

The line following mem_size = 288 M was a white block cursor.

After 15 minutes I decided the machine was locked up and rebooted
into Mac OS.

Any thoughts? What might I do? Where I might look?
